In this clip we hear the very first joke ever made on I Love Lucy. Lucy and Ethel are washing the after dinner dishes. Ethel tells Lucy that she and Fred will be celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary and Ethel would like Lucy and Ricky to help celebrate this momentous occasion with them. The audience finds out Ethel would like to celebrate by going to a nightclub. In the next scene we find out that Ricky and Fred have a different idea for the celebration.
